About AiRazor

During the major haze that smothered Singapore in June 2013, the National University of Singapore (NUS) formed a Haze Task Force and invited its Professors to submit their ideas. Associate Professor Dr. Jeff Obbard’s ideas for controlling indoor PM2.5 particulates were selected and he was then awarded funds to further develop his ideas.

Together with two friends who later became his partners, prototype systems were developed and tested under real haze conditions in Pekanbaru, Riau Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. The three then formed AiRazor Technologies Pte Ltd (AiRazor), a university spin-off company with the aim of providing protection against inhalation of airborne PM2.5 particles to as many people as possible, at reasonable cost.

Dr. Jeff Obbard is Technical Director of AiRazor and his partners are Mr. Andrew Yap (Managing Director), and Mr. Tan Keng Jin (Director). AiRazor has a Research and Development office on the NUS campus, and is headquartered in down town Singapore, and has affiliated offices and production centres in Taiwan and China.

Andrew Yap(叶先生)与Mr.
